Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the site occupational health and safety management system to meet applicable Swiss and EU regulations.
- Conduct and coordinate site risk assessments, safety audits and workplace inspections; track corrective actions to closure.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Design and deliver safety training programmes and toolbox talks for production, maintenance and office personnel.
- Advise project teams on health & safety aspects for process changes, new equipment installations and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with environmental and quality teams to integrate safety requirements into ISO and regulatory processes.
- Maintain safety documentation, statutory registers and management reporting; prepare submissions for authorities and insurers.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response drills, PPE programmes and occupational health surveillance.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in safety engineering, occupational health, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field.
- Professional qualification or training in occupational safety (e.g., ISO 45001 implementation or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Swiss workplace safety legislation and practical experience applying EU OSH standards in industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, influence and engage shopfloor teams and management.

Experience
Minimum of several years' hands-on experience in occupational health & safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment; prior exposure to electronics, battery or precision manufacturing operations is beneficial.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering or a related discipline; professional safety certification preferred.
