Renata AG (Swatch Group) seeks Facility Manager in Itingen, Switzerland. Lead facility operations, projects, and team of 2 staff.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to a team of 2 facility staff members
- Direct the continuous optimization of buildings and infrastructure systems
- Plan, control, and oversee modernization and renovation projects
- Develop and execute energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and applicable fire safety standards
- Manage and coordinate external service providers and contractors
- Create and monitor facility budgets, control costs, and identify ongoing optimization opportunities
- Oversee investment projects, new construction initiatives, and technical modifications
- Establish facility management standards, processes, and digital solutions
- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and occupational safety teams
- Prepare investment requests (CER documents with cost calculations and financial analysis)
- Develop project specifications and scope of work (Lastenheft)
Qualifications
- Several years of professional experience in technical facility management, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience and strong communication and organizational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in project management and external service provider coordination
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving orientation
- Very good proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems (SAP)
- Completed technical apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training with advanced qualification in Facility Management, Building Technology, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification
Skills
Experience
Several years of professional experience in technical facility management, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment, with proven leadership capability and demonstrated success in project management and cost optimization.
Education
Completed technical apprenticeship or vocational training combined with advanced professional qualification in Facility Management, Building Technology, Economic Engineering, or comparable discipline.
