Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble, inspect and test electronic subassemblies and miniature batteries according to documented procedures and quality specifications.
- Perform electrical testing and functional verification using multimeters, oscilloscopes and dedicated test rigs; record and interpret test data.
- Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot faults and coordinate repairs with engineering.
- Read and apply electrical schematics, work instructions and process documentation to ensure consistent product quality.
- Execute in-process quality checks and contribute to non-conformance investigations and corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at yield, throughput and defect reduction (lean manufacturing / Kaizen).
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant production environment, adhering to ESD, cleanroom and occupational safety protocols.
- Document production activities accurately in batch records and production systems.
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in electronics (e.g., Eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis EFZ) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Practical knowledge of electronic assembly processes, soldering (SMT/THT) and PCB handling.
- Proven ability to read electrical schematics and follow technical documentation.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance principles and basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting.
- Commitment to quality standards and adherence to safety/ESD procedures.

Experience
Typically 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly, production testing or maintenance within an industrial manufacturing environment; experience in battery, watch or precision-electronics production is an advantage.
Education
Vocational diploma in electronics (EFZ) or equivalent technical apprenticeship/qualification.
