Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment for battery cell and component assembly, ensuring process stability and product quality.
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on electromechanical systems, conveyor lines and automation equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct in-process and final electrical tests using multimeters, oscilloscopes and dedicated test rigs; record and analyse results.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and PLC ladder logic to diagnose faults and implement repairs.
  • Execute soldering, PCB assembly and rework tasks in compliance with IPC standards and ESD control procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting failures, performing root-cause analysis and proposing corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and validate measurement instruments and inspection equipment; maintain accurate maintenance and quality records.
  • Collaborate with quality, production and engineering teams to ensure adherence to safety, environmental and product specifications.

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training in electronics/electrotechnics (e.g., Swiss EFZ Elektroniker) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proven practical experience in an electronics manufacturing or precision-assembly environment.
  • Practical knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation; experience with Siemens S7 or similar controllers preferred.
  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ESD protection, IPC soldering/inspection standards and calibration procedures.
  • Committed to strict safety and quality standards and able to work on the production shop floor in a regulated environment.

Education

Vocational diploma or apprenticeship in electronics/electrotechnics (or equivalent technical certificate).
