Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the head patternmaker in translating design sketches into accurate paper and digital patterns for the maison's iconic pieces.
  • Prepare toiles, prototypes and mock‑ups; participate actively in fittings and implement iterative adjustments to achieve intended fit and silhouette.
  • Support sample cutting, marker making and liaison with the atelier to ensure prototypes meet technical and aesthetic specifications.
  • Document technical modifications and maintain pattern archives and model books for signature pieces.
  • Contribute to technical packs and communicate pattern and construction details to production and quality teams.
  • Work closely with designers, cutters and sewing ateliers to ensure feasibility of complex materials and experimental constructions.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited patternmaking, fashion technique or garment construction program (BTS, CAP, DNMADE or equivalent) as part of an apprenticeship.
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking principles and toiling techniques.
  • Strong manual dexterity, an eye for couture-level finish and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced atelier environment and to learn traditional and experimental fabrication methods.
