Puig seeks an HR Manager — Iberia in Barcelona to lead HR strategy for Spain & Portugal across its fashion and fragrance maisons.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement Iberia-wide HR strategy in partnership with senior local and regional leadership, aligning people priorities with brand and commercial objectives.
  • Act as principal HR business partner for Spain and Portugal: advise country directors and local managers on organisational design, workforce planning and change management.
  • Lead end-to-end talent management: recruitment strategy, onboarding, succession planning and leadership development programmes tailored to luxury retail and brand teams.
  • Manage employee relations and performance management processes, ensuring consistent administration of policies and fair, legally compliant resolution of issues.
  • Own compensation & benefits implementation for Iberia in coordination with global rewards, and provide market benchmarking and salary review support.
  • Ensure local labour law compliance across Spain and Portugal; liaise with external counsel on regulatory, social security and union matters when required.
  • Drive people metrics and reporting (turnover, engagement, headcount), and lead HR projects such as digital HRIS rollouts, organisational change and employer-brand initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as an HR business partner or HR manager covering Spain and Portugal, ideally within fashion, luxury goods, retail or beauty.
  • Solid knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese labour law and statutory employment practice; experience managing employee relations and collective bargaining is advantageous.
  • Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across commercial and brand teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using HR metrics to shape strategy; experience with HRIS implementations or reporting tools preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English; Portuguese language skills are a strong advantage.

Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification in HR (MSc, MA, MBA) or professional HR certification is desirable.
