Qeelin Store Manager position in Shanghai overseeing boutique operations, sales performance, and team leadership in luxury jewelry retail.
Role & Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed all company-established sales targets by building and maintaining a robust customer base through strategic CRM activities and client relationship management
- Analyze sales data and develop immediate and long-term strategic plans, with dedicated action initiatives to support high-value transactions and identify prospective clients with significant potential
- Supervise in-store promotional displays and curated customer experiences to align with brand positioning and seasonal campaigns
- Monitor local luxury market trends and maintain competitive intelligence on regional market dynamics and competitor activities
- Build and nurture enduring relationships with local and VIP clientele, ensuring personalized service and loyalty engagement
- Administer post-sale service and after-sales support in strict compliance with brand standards and luxury service protocols
- Lead by example as a core member of the management team, embodying brand values and inspiring store personnel through mentorship and engagement
- Foster team participation in regional and global high-jewelry events to drive client conversion and brand awareness
- Identify and address performance issues through informal management protocols, collaborating with Human Resources when formal corrective action is required
- Oversee recruitment activities, including authorization applications, candidate sourcing, and interview facilitation to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Execute comprehensive in-store training programs encompassing new staff onboarding, product knowledge development, and collection launch briefings to ensure team expertise meets company standards
- Conduct annual performance evaluations for all team members, providing constructive feedback and establishing individual development goals aligned with career progression
- Assess training needs across the team and coordinate with Human Resources to design and implement targeted development initiatives
- Communicate regularly with staff regarding group and brand updates, business performance metrics, and procedural policy changes
- Develop and apply technical and procedural knowledge—including workflows, legal requirements, equipment protocols, and product specifications—to execute duties with operational efficiency
- Monitor sick leave and other absences, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and minimizing reliance on temporary personnel
- Oversee and schedule daily boutique operational plans to ensure retail and operations strategies are effectively implemented at store level
- Ensure the security and availability of all inventory, maintaining real-time awareness of stock levels to support sales objectives and forecasting
- Manage store maintenance and preservation standards, identifying necessary repairs, cleanliness requirements, and corrective actions to maintain premium store environment
- Evaluate inventory composition, provide actionable recommendations to optimize stock mix and improve sales velocity
- Enforce and reinforce brand visual display guidelines to maintain immaculate product presentation and consistent store aesthetics
Qualifications
- Proven retail management experience in luxury or high-end sectors
- Demonstrated excellence in sales target achievement and client relationship management
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities
- Strategic mindset with ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales data analysis
- Deep understanding of visual merchandising standards and luxury brand positioning
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of retail management experience in the luxury sector, with demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, managing high-performing teams, and executing sophisticated customer experience initiatives. Prior experience managing boutique operations or premium jewelry retail environments is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field; or equivalent professional experience in luxury retail management demonstrating the requisite competencies.
