Role & Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end logistics for Greater China: manage international freight, customs clearance, warehousing and last‑mile delivery for retail, e‑commerce and bespoke client shipments.
- Ensure secure handling, storage and transport of high‑value jewellery, enforcing chain‑of‑custody procedures, insurance protocols and security controls.
- Manage relationships with 3PLs, couriers and freight forwarders; set service level agreements, perform regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with warehouse and retail teams to maintain inventory visibility and accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations and exception management.
- Design and operate omnichannel fulfilment processes including returns management, same‑day/express delivery options and e‑commerce integrations.
- Maintain full compliance with Chinese import/export regulations, VAT/customs duties and product labelling requirements.
- Monitor logistics KPIs and P&L impact; identify cost optimisation opportunities without compromising service standards or brand integrity.
- Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, customs delays and security incidents.
- Promote sustainability initiatives within logistics operations, including eco‑friendly packaging and green transport practices where feasible.
- Prepare regular reports and analytics on delivery performance, shipping costs and service levels for the Greater China President and global supply chain team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience managing logistics and distribution operations in China, with demonstrable knowledge of import/export procedures, customs and tax implications.
- Track record handling high‑value or luxury goods (jewellery, watches or similar) with strong familiarity with security, insurance and chain‑of‑custody requirements.
- Experience managing 3PLs, freight forwarders and courier partners, including contract negotiation and SLA management.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams (warehouse, retail, e‑commerce, finance).
- Analytical mindset with experience using logistics KPIs to drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and business‑level English preferred.
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with WMS/TMS/ERP systems is highly desirable.

Typically requires several years (5+) of progressive logistics or supply chain experience, including hands‑on exposure to customs/import/export processes and at least 2–3 years managing teams or leading cross‑functional logistics projects; prior experience with luxury or high‑value goods is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business administration or related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
