Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and creative leadership to translate creative sketches into manufacturable, high-quality jewelry pieces while maintaining design integrity
• Lead the complete product development lifecycle including material sourcing of precious metals and gemstones, feasibility assessment, prototyping, cost engineering, and pricing input
• Manage sampling timelines and coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams (design, sourcing, production, quality assurance) and external partners (manufacturers, setters, gem suppliers)
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical packages including detailed specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), CAD references, finish requirements, and quality benchmarks
• Ensure compliance with international jewelry standards (CIBJO, hallmarking regulations), ethical sourcing guidelines, and brand sustainability commitments
• Contribute to seasonal line reviews and collection planning, balancing core staple pieces, trend-driven designs, and special editions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Product Development, Fashion Merchandising, Materials Science, or related field
• 3–5 years of product development experience within the jewelry sector
• In-depth knowledge of precious materials including gold, platinum, diamonds, and colored gemstones
• Comprehensive understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes including wax carving, casting, setting, polishing, plating
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple SKUs and tight deadlines
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French, Italian, or Mandarin is advantageous
• Refined aesthetic sensibility with deep respect for craftsmanship and unwavering attention to detail
• Understanding of luxury brand values, consumer expectations, and retail dynamics

Skills

Experience

3–5 years of product development experience within the fine jewelry sector, ideally encompassing the full product lifecycle from design translation through production oversight and quality control.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Product Development, Fashion Merchandising, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline. Gemological certification (e.g., GIA Graduate Gemologist or FGA) is preferred.
