Qeelin Assistant HR Manager in Shanghai — HRBP role supporting talent, performance, compensation and compliance for the luxury jewellery maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as HR business partner for assigned stores and functions, translating company HR strategy into operational plans and measurable business outcomes.
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, probation, transfers, exits and employee relations to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Support talent management and development initiatives: coordinate learning & development programs, succession planning and retention measures in partnership with the Country HR Manager.
- Drive performance management processes at store level: coach managers on feedback, PIPs, performance calibration and career conversations.
- Execute compensation and benefits processes per HQ/Kering guidelines; liaise with the Kering SSC to ensure accurate and timely payroll, C&B actions and employment records.
- Provide pragmatic HR consultation to managers, identify compliance risks, and partner with relevant teams to implement mitigation and preserve employer brand.
- Monitor the regional talent market, build external networks, and deliver market insights that inform recruitment and retention strategies.
- Deliver cross-functional HR projects and ad-hoc initiatives to support business priorities and organisational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HRBP or HR generalist within retail, luxury goods, or consumer-focused organisations.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management and compensation practices; demonstrable capability executing HR processes end-to-end.
- Practical understanding of local employment law and HR compliance requirements in China.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence store leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Organised, proactive and results-oriented with strong project management and analytical ability.

Experience
Typically 3–5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated HRBP exposure; prior experience in luxury retail or a fast-paced consumer environment is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
