Wave Planner at PVH in Palmetto, GA. Optimize order fulfillment and manage warehouse operations on a second shift (Sun-Thu, 2pm-10pm) for Calvin Klein and TOMMY HILFIGER.
Role & Responsibilities
- Preview and select order groups into appropriate waves to optimize facility shipping capacity and operational efficiency
- Evaluate daily workload by function (special handling, pick volume, receiving operations) to level overall facility and departmental capacity
- Receive and process expedite, modification, and release requests from Merchandise Coordinators and Customer Service personnel
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to balance workloads between manual and automated environments to satisfy shipping requirements
- Review staffing, equipment utilization, and system parameter sets with Operations Staff to achieve consensus on production plans and make real-time wave modifications as needed
- Release customer orders and communicate with Customer Service to resolve order exceptions
- Level workloads between pallet, case, and manual picking operations
- Coordinate with fellow Wave Planners and Operation Supervisors to manage manpower and physical product flow to meet daily distribution requirements
- Ensure accuracy of all billing entries for automated distributions (pre and post)
- Maintain constant operational alertness and provide support to fellow associates
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1 to 3 years of distribution, wave planning, or related warehouse operations experience
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), Island Pacific, and SOUP platforms
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Skills
Experience
1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in distribution, wave planning, or relevant warehouse and logistics operations.
Education
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
