PVH seeks a Shipping Account Planner in Palmetto, GA to manage outbound freight scheduling and customer logistics coordination for major wholesale brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Schedule and optimize outbound shipments based on customer routing requirements, carrier appointment schedules, and load planning parameters to ensure timely delivery and cube accuracy
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers and designated carriers, routing freight optimally and monitoring start dates, cancel dates, and distribution center receipt deadlines
- Prepare complete and accurate outbound paperwork, including Bills of Lading and commercial invoices for international shipments, maintaining orderly records and files
- Utilize PKMS Warehouse Management System to build loads, track and update shipment information, research discrepancies, and communicate status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as liaison between customer logistics departments, carriers, PVH customer service, strategic services, and transportation teams to resolve routing issues, coordinate equipment availability, and establish new customer accounts
- Manage customer purchase order extensions, communicate carrier and customer issues to appropriate departments, and collaborate on chargeback resolution with deductions, claims, and merchandise coordinators
- Perform detailed analysis of shipment data and carrier documentation, making informed decisions to maintain load planning accuracy and address operational challenges
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in distribution, shipping routing, or related logistics functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel for data analysis and documentation
- Ability to maintain alertness and attention to detail while working with complex shipment information and multiple concurrent shipments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of solid, hands-on experience in distribution, shipping routing, or equivalent logistics operations. Proven track record of managing high-volume shipment schedules and coordinating with multiple carriers and customer logistics departments.
Education
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
