Tommy Jeans Merchandiser in Amsterdam – Lead product strategy for Tees, knits, and Graphics. PVH Corp is hiring an experienced Merchandiser at its Amsterdam headquarters.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and own strategic direction for Tees, heavyweight knits, and Graphics across medium-to-long-term (1–3 years) and seasonal cycles
- Lead product group strategy within the category merchandising team, obsessing over consumer needs and behaviors
- Create seasonal range plans and product strategies aligned with brand direction, seasonal priorities, and business unit KPIs
- Build and maintain range plans balancing commercial potential (circa 80%) with trend-driven newness (circa 20%) whilst preserving brand DNA
- Establish strong cross-functional relationships with Design, Product Development, and Planning to develop efficient and profitable collections
- Prepare and execute key category and business unit milestones, managing stakeholder engagement across regions and other business units
- Deliver compelling presentations on product strategy and collections to category teams, regional merchandising, and commercial stakeholders
- Conduct rigorous business and product analysis, reviewing sell-in and sell-out results, pricing architecture, and category KPIs
- Manage product and line forecasting using PLM systems and supplementary data sources
- Champion cross-category communication, teamwork, and best practices to ensure high execution clarity across category priorities
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Merchandising, Commercial, Buying, or Product Development
- Strong combination of product and commercial mindset with demonstrable track record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PLM-style management systems
- Advanced presentation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Detail-oriented and proactive disposition with commitment to continuous learning
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, managing multiple concurrent projects and seasonal cycles
- Fluent English proficiency, verbal and written
- Proven passion for lifestyle, apparel, and fashion industry
Skills
Experience
3-5 years in Merchandising, Commercial, Buying, or Product Development roles within fashion or apparel, with demonstrated expertise in category strategy, product analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
Education
Not specified; secondary or post-secondary qualification in Business, Merchandising, Fashion Management, or related field recommended
