Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and system issues including PLC controls, conveyors, and HVAC systems; perform root cause analysis to address recurring problems
- Test, calibrate, and repair electrical and pneumatic controls, motors, and pumps
- Install and maintain electrical components such as wiring, control panels, and PLCs in compliance with NEC, UL, and NFPA standards
- Conduct routine inspections, record findings in CMMS, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain and lubricate equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Mentor team members in troubleshooting and CMMS usage; deliver training on new or updated equipment
- Use CMMS to track equipment malfunctions, analyze patterns, and recommend replacements or upgrades
- Operate label application equipment and ensure quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address maintenance needs and support process improvements
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a distribution environment
- At least 2 years of electrical or electronic experience, including PLC programming
- Knowledge of power transmission systems
- Experience with metal fabrication, HVAC systems, and fire response equipment
- High School Diploma or GED; technical school background preferred
- Completion of Bennett's Mechanical Aptitude test (75th percentile or higher)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 50 feet
- Ability to distinguish wire colors
- Valid driver's license

Experience
5–7 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a distribution or fulfillment center environment, with at least 2 years of hands-on electrical or electronic experience including PLC programming. Familiarity with power transmission systems, metal fabrication, HVAC systems, and fire response equipment is essential. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and implement effective solutions.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required; completion of technical school or equivalent vocational training preferred. Successful completion of Bennett's Mechanical Aptitude test at 75th percentile or higher is required.
