Calvin Klein Garment Technician – Sri Lanka. Oversee technical development, fit consistency, and vendor training for underwear, swimwear, and activewear collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and document fitting comments and technical feedback in Centric PLM system
- Evaluate garment construction and quality to identify production risks, recommend testing protocols, and suggest alternatives to mitigate issues
- Maintain design intent across multiple sizes from first fit through pre-production approval, proactively addressing concerns with technical and design teams
- Collaborate with Hub sourcing and vendors to manage sample turn-around time and facilitate vendor communication
- Monitor and assess internal and external Standard Operating Procedures; ensure relevance and drive necessary updates with partners
- Lead vendor accreditation training for pre-production and fit approval; allocate programs and styles to qualified vendors
- Establish and strengthen relationships with vendors and cross-functional partners across sourcing, raw materials, and technical design
- Communicate across functional teams to share knowledge, improve alignment, and facilitate collaborative problem-solving
- Resolve discrepancies related to pattern, grading, and yarn specifications encountered by vendors
- Develop documentation libraries and pattern-matching records to optimize workflow efficiency and accommodate increasing production volume
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Technical Design, Pattern Grading, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in garment technology, fit development, or production management
- Expert knowledge of fitting, pattern making, grading, construction, and testing methodologies for apparel production
- Comprehensive understanding of sewing techniques, stitch properties, and garment detailing
- Proficiency with live model garment fitting and capability to instruct vendors on garment manufacturability
- Demonstrated expertise in Lectra system and PLM software platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluent English communication skills
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities with proven ability to resolve issues expeditiously
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in garment technology, technical design, pattern grading, production management, or equivalent roles within apparel manufacturing or brand-side quality assurance. Experience managing vendor relationships, overseeing sample development cycles, and ensuring compliance with production standards is essential.
Education
Diploma or higher qualification in Technical Design, Pattern Grading, Fashion Technology, or equivalent disciplinary background.
Workplace
