PVH is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage industrial material handling equipment at its distribution facility in Palmetto, Georgia. The role involves operating turret trucks, cherry picker forklifts, and pallet-riders to transport products according to computerized assignments, utilizing radio frequency (RF) technology and barcode scanners. The position operates on shift-based schedules (1st shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, or 2nd shift: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm).

Role & Responsibilities

• Receive equipment and zone assignments via radio frequency (RF) terminal and computer system, confirming task completion
• Operate industrial material handling equipment including high-bay turret trucks, cherry picker forklifts, and pallet-riders at heights up to 35-40 feet
• Handle and stack product cartons weighing up to 50 lbs. onto pallets and transfer products onto designated conveyors
• Report inconsistencies or errors to the Warehouse Management System using RF technology
• Determine optimal task sequencing under computer guidance and adapt workflow to system recommendations
• Manage empty pallet acquisition and relocation to designated storage areas
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and assist colleagues upon task completion

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in operating, driving, and maneuvering industrial material handling equipment
• Ability to operate an order picker (cherry picker) forklift
• Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) technology and barcode scanning systems
• Capacity to lift cartons up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Good depth perception and visual acuity
• Ability to operate equipment at heights up to 35-40 feet
• Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 50-55°F to 90-100°F

Skills

Experience

Previous experience operating industrial material handling equipment and/or warehouse environments is preferred; however, training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Education

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
