Equipment Operator position at PVH Corp in Palmetto, GA. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment on day or evening shift.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive equipment and zone assignments via radio frequency (RF) terminal and computer system, confirming task completion
- Operate industrial material handling equipment including high-bay turret trucks, cherry picker forklifts, and pallet-riders at heights up to 35-40 feet
- Handle and stack product cartons weighing up to 50 lbs. onto pallets and transfer products onto designated conveyors
- Report inconsistencies or errors to the Warehouse Management System using RF technology
- Determine optimal task sequencing under computer guidance and adapt workflow to system recommendations
- Manage empty pallet acquisition and relocation to designated storage areas
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and assist colleagues upon task completion
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in operating, driving, and maneuvering industrial material handling equipment
- Ability to operate an order picker (cherry picker) forklift
- Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) technology and barcode scanning systems
- Capacity to lift cartons up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Good depth perception and visual acuity
- Ability to operate equipment at heights up to 35-40 feet
- Capability to work in temperatures ranging from 50-55°F to 90-100°F
Skills
Experience
Previous experience operating industrial material handling equipment and/or warehouse environments is preferred; however, training will be provided for qualified candidates.
Education
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
