Role & Responsibilities
- Plans and manages labor and physical product flow to ensure continuous operations and meet daily distribution requirements in an automated warehouse environment
- Provides training, support, direction, and performance evaluation to subordinate personnel to develop job skills and assess individual contributions
- Serves as an effective communicator, fostering partnerships with various departments and stakeholders to promote collaboration and achieve operational goals
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure timely, damage-free, and accurate flow of products through the facility
- Maintains inventory control and accountability within the assigned area, ensuring accurate physical inventory and reporting
- Ensures efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices
- Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices throughout the department
- Maintains constant alertness to identify and address potential operational issues proactively
- Provides coverage and support for colleagues in different departments as needed
- Develops contingency plans for work volume in case of abnormal operating circumstances
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field with 2-4 years of distribution or supervisory experience, or
- 7-10 years of proven leadership experience in a distribution environment
- Knowledge of WMS (AS400/Manhattan), PKMS, MHE, RF, and host systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with ability to set departmental and shift work priorities
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in warehouse operations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
