With opportunities spanning design, merchandising, retail, digital, supply chain, and corporate functions, PVH provides employees with the scale of a global enterprise and the energy of a brand-led organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and enduring consumer connection.
PVH is seeking a senior individual contributor to define global AWS architecture strategy, enterprise cloud foundations and technical direction across EMEA, the Americas and APAC. The role leads architecture for cloud migration, data center exit, modernization, resilience, security, automation and FinOps, while advising senior leaders and influencing teams and partners across the business. It is a full-time position based in Amsterdam.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, own and continuously evolve PVH’s global AWS cloud architecture strategy and target state, aligned with enterprise technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, application and business strategies.
- Serve as the recognized enterprise authority for cloud architecture, providing final technical direction and authoritative recommendations for material cloud architecture decisions across PVH.
- Anticipate technology, business and industry developments and translate them into strategic cloud capabilities, architectural roadmaps and investment priorities.
- Advise senior IT and business technology leaders on cloud strategy, architecture, transformation, risk and investment choices.
- Create innovative solutions for unique, highly complex enterprise technology problems that existing cloud patterns or standard approaches do not adequately address.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear strategic options, recommendations and consequences for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Establish enterprise reference architectures, principles, decision frameworks, standards and technical guardrails that shape global cloud adoption.
- Determine and document architectural trade-offs across resilience, security, performance, operational complexity, cost, sustainability and delivery speed.
- Lead architecture for multi-year strategic transformation programs and keep near-term delivery decisions aligned with the long-term target architecture.
- Own architectural direction for PVH’s global cloud foundation and landing-zone capabilities across regions and business domains.
- Define enterprise standards with Security and Network domain leaders for areas including account strategy, identity and access, networking, connectivity, DNS, logging, monitoring, encryption and security controls.
- Drive the shift from infrastructure-centric patterns to reusable, automated, policy-driven and self-service cloud platform capabilities.
- Define architectural approaches for multi-region resilience, disaster recovery, workload placement, service continuity and recovery patterns across critical enterprise workloads.
- Ensure global cloud foundations support regional, regulatory and business requirements without unnecessary fragmentation or technical debt.
- Provide senior architectural input into major technology selections, strategic partnerships and commercial decisions with material cloud implications.
- Set enterprise architectural direction for Infrastructure as Code, policy as code, cloud automation and platform engineering, including Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
- Identify opportunities to introduce cloud-native services, automation, AI-enabled operations and emerging AWS capabilities that materially improve PVH’s technology landscape.
- Lead evaluation of emerging technologies and establish new architectural patterns and adoption strategies where appropriate.
- Sponsor proofs of concept and technical experiments for high-impact or unprecedented architecture challenges, translating successful outcomes into reusable enterprise capabilities.
- Simplify the technology landscape by eliminating unnecessary manual processes, legacy dependencies and duplicated platform capabilities.
- Monitor cloud architecture trends, emerging technologies and industry practices, translating relevant developments into PVH strategy.
- Provide enterprise architecture leadership for global workload migration and modernization into AWS, including strategic data center exit initiatives.
- Determine migration and modernization approaches for complex workloads, including rehost, re-platform, refactor, retire, retain and adoption of cloud-native or managed services.
- Challenge migration designs that unnecessarily reproduce legacy data center constructs in AWS and define pragmatic alternatives aligned with PVH’s target architecture.
- Resolve complex cross-domain architecture issues involving applications, networking, identity, security, data, integration, resilience, operations and regulatory constraints.
- Ensure transformation decisions balance immediate program objectives with enterprise architecture, long-term maintainability and avoidance of structural technical debt.
- Challenge vendor recommendations that do not align with PVH’s enterprise architecture, risk posture or long-term strategic objectives.
- Embed cloud economics and FinOps principles into strategic architecture decisions and target-state designs.
- Provide architectural direction on material cost, performance and resilience trade-offs, challenging designs that create avoidable long-term cloud cost or commercial dependency.
- Partner with FinOps, Engineering, Finance and application teams to influence consumption models, service selection, lifecycle management and optimization strategy.
- Assess strategic technology choices for total cost of ownership, operational complexity, licensing implications and long-term business value.
- Partner with Security, Risk and Enterprise Architecture to embed secure-by-design, zero-trust and policy-as-code principles into global cloud architecture.
- Define enterprise cloud resilience principles and architectural standards for availability, disaster recovery, backup, observability, performance and recoverability.
- Provide senior technical leadership for critical architecture risks, major incidents and systemic reliability challenges requiring cross-platform or enterprise-level decisions.
- Shape SRE, observability and operational architecture in partnership with engineering teams and strategic operations partners.
- Ensure architecture decisions address lifecycle supportability, operational maturity and global service continuity.
- Represent Global Cloud & Infrastructure in architecture and governance forums, advise senior technology leaders, and influence engineering teams, strategic partners and vendors across organizational boundaries.
- Mentor architects and engineers and raise technical standards across the organization.

- Deep expertise in AWS architecture and enterprise-scale cloud foundations, with the ability to work credibly from executive strategy through detailed technical design.
- Proven track record defining global target-state architectures, technology strategies, enterprise standards and multi-year architecture roadmaps.
- Strong cross-domain expertise spanning cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, identity, data, integration, DevOps, observability, resilience and operations.
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation and modern cloud and platform engineering practices.
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders, architects, engineering teams and strategic partners across organizational and geographic boundaries without relying on direct authority.
