Penhaligon's seeks a Team Leader at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth to lead boutique operations and drive sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day boutique operations at the Gunwharf Quays store, including opening/closing, cash reconciliation and shift rostering.
- Drive sales performance and achieve KPIs through active selling, clienteling and conversion-focused coaching of the team.
- Coach, mentor and develop sales advisors to elevate product knowledge, client service and personal presentation standards.
- Deliver exceptional luxury customer experiences, manage complex enquiries and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards, stock replenishment, inventory control and loss-prevention measures.
- Ensure compliance with brand policies, health & safety procedures and local retail regulations; liaise with district management on operational matters.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in retail, preferably within fragrance, cosmetics or luxury fashion.
- Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Strong leadership and people-development capabilities with experience coaching diverse teams.
- Numerate with experience in cash handling and basic retail financial controls.
- Right to work in the UK and flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and peak trading periods.
Skills
Experience
Minimum two years' experience in a retail supervisory role, preferably within fragrance, cosmetics or another luxury retail environment, with proven success in driving sales and developing staff.
Education
Secondary education (GCSEs or equivalent); a retail or management qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
