Role & Responsibilities
- Test new ingredients and execute experimental plans to develop innovative formulations
- Create and design cosmetic formulas within the company's newly established R&D facility
- Coordinate comprehensive product testing protocols including microbiology, safety, and efficacy assessments
- Evaluate formula performance, conduct risk analysis, and highlight product differentiators
- Oversee homologation testing and data monitoring to ensure quality and commercial viability
- Collaborate with the packaging team to design consumer-centric products that balance innovation with practicality
- Engage with manufacturing partners to assess technical feasibility and oversee formula scale-up processes
- Lead the manufacturing transfer process from pilot laboratory batches to full-scale commercial production
- Prepare, review, and update laboratory Standard Operating Procedures for consistency and compliance
- Monitor scientific and technological advances relevant to cosmetic product development
- Track market trends, competitive landscapes, and evolving consumer preferences within the beauty sector
- Contribute to strategic innovation initiatives across the skincare category
- Provide regular progress reports to direct manager
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience developing formulations for the skincare category
- Master's Degree or higher in Chemistry, Cosmetic Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, or Chemical Engineering
- Demonstrated understanding of cosmetic product attributes and consumer insights relevant to skincare development
- Working knowledge of physical testing methods and analytical techniques in cosmetic science
- Familiarity with global cosmetic regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for cosmetics
- Knowledge of trends, competitive positioning, and beauty category dynamics
- Fluency in Spanish and English; French is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
