Puig — Barcelona: Primary Packaging Graduate position supporting packaging development for fragrance and beauty collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end development of primary packaging (bottles, closures, sprayers, labels) from concept through industrialisation.
- Draft and maintain technical packaging specifications, bills of materials and release documentation for cross‑functional teams.
- Coordinate prototype creation and evaluation with internal labs and external suppliers; organise and document testing cycles.
- Collaborate with design, regulatory, quality and sourcing to ensure compliance with product, safety and labelling requirements.
- Monitor project timelines and cost targets, escalate risks and propose pragmatic corrective actions to meet launch schedules.
- Assist in supplier selection, sample follow‑up and quality inspections to align production samples with technical requirements.
- Contribute to sustainability assessments of materials and processes, supporting initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Science, Materials Science, Industrial Design, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Recent graduate or up to 1–2 years of relevant internship/trainee experience in packaging, product development or manufacturing.
- Strong technical understanding of packaging materials (glass, polymers, metal) and primary pack components used in cosmetics and fragrances.
- Demonstrable organisational skills with attention to detail for specification control and sample tracking.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional, matrixed teams and to communicate technical information clearly.

Experience
Entry-level: recent graduates or candidates with up to two years of internship or junior experience in packaging development, product development or supplier coordination within cosmetics, fragrances, consumer goods or related industries.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Packaging Science, Materials Science, Industrial Design, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
