Puig in Barcelona seeks a Packaging & Quality Control Technician to oversee packaging inspections and QC processes for fragrance and beauty products.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform in-line and finished-goods inspections to verify packaging integrity, labelling, fill levels and visual appearance against product specifications.
- Execute routine quality control tests, record results and escalate non-conformances to production and QA management.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, batch records and inspection reports in compliance with GMP and internal quality systems.
- Calibrate and maintain basic QC instruments (e.g., calipers, scales, spectrophotometer) and ensure traceability of measurement data.
- Coordinate corrective actions with production, procurement and suppliers to resolve packaging defects and implement preventive measures.
- Support internal audits, validation activities and continuous improvement projects to enhance packaging processes and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures on the production floor.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or equivalent in chemistry, packaging technology, industrial engineering or a related applied science.
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality management principles (ISO 9001 desirable).
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and product labelling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity and methodical approach to inspection tasks.
- Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination with production, QA and suppliers.

Experience
Typically 1–3 years of hands-on experience in packaging inspection or quality control within cosmetics, fragrances, personal care or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production environments, including exposure to packaging lines and quality systems.
Education
Technical diploma or vocational qualification in chemistry, packaging technology, industrial engineering, or a closely related field.
