Role & Responsibilities
- Design, plan and execute packaging qualification and performance tests (drop, vibration, compression, climate chamber, ISTA/ASTM protocols) to ensure safe transport and shelf stability.
- Run and interpret product stability studies (accelerated and real-time), photostability and compatibility testing to validate formula–package interactions.
- Develop and maintain test protocols, sampling plans and technical documentation; author clear, regulatory-grade test reports and CAPAs when required.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, quality assurance, manufacturing, supply chain and regulatory affairs to resolve packaging or product non-conformities.
- Manage relationships with external testing laboratories and packaging suppliers; oversee contracting, scopes of work and data quality.
- Operate and maintain laboratory systems and records, ensuring compliance with GMP/ISO practices and company quality procedures.
- Analyze test data using statistical methods and present findings and recommendations to technical and commercial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in packaging and/or product testing within cosmetics, personal care or FMCG environments.
- Proven knowledge of stability testing methodologies, packaging performance standards (ISTA, ASTM) and compatibility studies.
- Familiarity with GMP/ISO 22716, GLP principles and quality systems.
- Demonstrable ability to write technical protocols and regulatory-quality reports; strong analytical problem-solving capability.

Experience
Typically requires at least 3 years of progressive experience executing packaging and product testing programs in cosmetics, personal care or fast-moving consumer goods; experience with external laboratory management and cross-functional project work is expected.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Packaging Science, Chemical Engineering or related scientific field; Master’s degree advantageous.
