Puig in Barcelona seeks a Make-up Quality Control Technician to perform lab testing, stability studies and batch release ensuring GMP compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute routine and non-routine quality control tests on make‑up products — including visual, physical and instrumental analyses — to verify conformance with specifications.
- Perform pH, viscosity, spreadability and colour measurements using laboratory instrumentation and ensure correct sample preparation and handling.
- Monitor and document stability and shelf‑life studies; operate and maintain stability chambers and record environmental conditions.
- Inspect packaging and finished goods for cosmetic defects, labelling accuracy and correct batch identification prior to release.
- Record, investigate and escalate non‑conformances; support CAPA activities and liaise with Manufacturing, R&D and Regulatory Affairs to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain accurate lab records, batch release documentation and test reports in accordance with GMP and internal procedures; use LIMS or equivalent systems for data entry.
- Ensure laboratory hygiene, calibration and preventative maintenance schedules are followed and participate in internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent technical diploma.
- Practical experience in a cosmetics or personal care QC laboratory (typically 1–4 years) with hands‑on testing and batch release responsibilities.
- Working knowledge of GMP and familiarity with EU Cosmetics Regulation and supplier specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications, follow SOPs and produce clear, audit‑ready documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, methodical approach to testing and the capacity to work in a regulated production environment.

Practical laboratory experience within cosmetics or personal‑care product quality control; typically 1–4 years operating QC instrumentation, executing stability studies and supporting batch release in a GMP environment.
Education
