Puig seeks Legal Compliance Intern in Paris for 6-month role managing regulatory compliance and product conformity for four luxury fashion brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse regulatory developments across key markets (EU, US, Canada, UK, Arabian Peninsula, China, Japan, South Korea) with focus on product compliance, sustainability, and due diligence obligations
- Interpret legal requirements and evaluate their impact on materials, processes, and finished products, providing clear recommendations and risk assessments to internal stakeholders
- Translate regulatory requirements into operational processes, internal policies, and product specifications; validate implementation through labeling, test reports, and compliance documentation
- Review and manage wholesale customer compliance contractual clauses, ensuring alignment between contractual obligations, internal capabilities, and regulatory requirements
- Act as central point of expertise on regulatory and compliance matters, providing cross-functional training to design, product development, sourcing, quality, and supply chain teams
- Identify compliance risks across the brand portfolio and propose mitigation strategies; contribute to continuous improvement of compliance systems through innovative tools and data management
Qualifications
- Master's degree in law or compliance
- Fluent English; additional language skills preferred
- Strong understanding of product compliance regulations (REACH, chemical safety, product labeling), sustainability frameworks, and due diligence standards
- Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks (EU, US) and fashion industry supply chain operations
- Ability to interpret legal texts and translate them into clear operational requirements
