Puig seeks a temporary Immigration Compliance Specialist in Miami to manage PERM recruitment, green card programs, and DOL compliance for 12 months.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage PERM Labor Certification recruitment activities by posting positions across required channels, monitoring applicant engagement, and coordinating interviews in full compliance with DOL requirements
- Evaluate resumes and applicant records against defined job requirements and maintain thorough documentation to support labor market testing
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop job descriptions that align with Department of Labor standards and position requirements
- Create, format, and distribute comprehensive monthly status reports tracking employee progress through the green card pipeline
- Maintain internal tracking systems with current case milestones, expiration dates, and data integrity across all immigration cases
- Develop and implement contingency planning strategies in collaboration with Human Resources and Global Mobility teams for employees facing visa caps or critical timelines
- Translate complex immigration processes and timelines into clear, accessible communications for employees and managers at all organizational levels
- Audit monthly invoices and itemized billing from external legal counsel to verify alignment with agreed corporate rates
- Monitor total immigration project spending and promptly identify and escalate billing discrepancies or unanticipated legal costs
- Build and maintain comprehensive audit files to ensure continuous organizational readiness for regulatory reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 1+ years of experience managing corporate business immigration programs or supporting immigration legal counsel
- Demonstrated expertise with PERM Labor Certification process, Form I-140, and Adjustment of Status (I-485) procedures
- Current work authorization in the United States (this position does not offer immigration sponsorship)
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably SuccessFactors, and/or immigration case management software
- Familiarity with Department of Labor and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations and procedures
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (highly preferred)
