Puig seeks a Global Demand Planning Executive for a temporary assignment in Barcelona, supporting the Niche & Wellness Global Sales and Operations Planning process. The role leads brand forecasting, coordinates launch and promotional forecasts, challenges forecast deviations and aligns global demand plans with business targets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead key tasks in the brands’ Global Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Coordinate global forecasting for launches and promotional items.
  • Manage and lead the regular-goods sales forecast.
  • Identify major sales forecast deviations versus budget, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Provide input to the Global and Strategic Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Lead the forecasting process and control deviations by brand.
  • Generate the Rest of the World forecast using the best baseline forecast, enhanced with marketing intelligence.
  • Challenge the global forecast by identifying significant deviations versus the prior month or budget, working closely with Local Demand Planning teams to understand or close gaps.
  • Challenge markets to ensure appropriate global sizing and phasing of launches and promotional goods, benchmarking against brand expectations.
  • Ensure communication and feedback with the Local Demand Planning community.
  • Support the leadership and development of the Niche & Wellness Global Sales and Operations Planning process.
  • Ensure timely and sufficiently accurate global product forecasts to support high service levels, optimized inventory and cost efficiency; identify risks and opportunities versus budget and align the demand plan with overall business targets.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Demand Planner or at least 2 years in other Supply Chain areas; cosmetics-industry experience is highly valued.
  • Motivation to learn and support the orchestration of an international Demand Planning team.
  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Administration or a similar field; a Master’s in Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Fluent English and Spanish required; French is a plus.
  • Competencies include drive for results, problem-solving, flexibility, analytical ability, communication, organization and delivering on time in full.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office software.
  • SAP, JDA, APO or a similar planning tool is mandatory.
