Puig seeks a General Accountant in Barcelona to oversee financial operations, manage month-end close, and ensure compliance with group accounting standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute all accounting activities related to month, quarter, and year-end close in accordance with established closing procedures and group accounting rules
- Manage quarterly inter-company reconciliation and prepare, verify, and submit group reporting
- Ensure Balance Sheet statements contain reliable and accurate information aligned with Group and Statutory standards
- Conduct internal control activities required to ensure compliance with Group policies
- Perform monthly cash forecasting and variance analysis to support cash planning initiatives
- Ensure timely accomplishment of all company tax obligations and manage tax accounting and reporting
- Lead audit processes with internal and external auditors and maintain statutory accounting books to ensure compliance with local accounting standards
- Support local controllers on subsidiary planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including Balance Sheet and cash budget preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of IFRS standards
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in finance integration projects
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Excellent problem-solving and process improvement capabilities

Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a general accounting or similar finance role, preferably within a multinational or group corporate environment with exposure to consolidated financial reporting, month-end close processes, and multi-entity accounting operations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
