Role & Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and prepayments to support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Perform bank reconciliations, supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to resolution.
- Support preparation of management reporting by compiling financial schedules, variance analyses and ad hoc reports.
- Assist with invoice processing, expense claims review and vendor onboarding; ensure accurate coding and timely payments.
- Maintain accounting records and filing systems, supporting internal and external audit requests as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (commercial, logistics, local entities) to ensure accurate transactional flow and timely information exchange.
Qualifications
- AAT-qualified or part-qualified, or a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail with demonstrable experience in transactional accounting.
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards and VAT rules relevant to supplier and customer transactions.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines during month-end close and deliver accurate outputs under time pressure.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Experience
1–3 years of hands-on experience in a transactional finance role (accounts payable/accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal postings) within a corporate or multinational environment; prior exposure to month-end close cycles and management reporting preferred.
Education
AAT qualification or part‑qualified, or a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
