Puig (Barcelona) seeks an EMEA Business Controller to lead regional FP&A, reporting and commercial partnering for the EMEA business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis for the EMEA region: prepare budgets, rolling forecasts and long‑range plans in partnership with commercial and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Deliver timely month‑end and quarter‑end close activities for EMEA entities, including consolidation, variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
  • Produce management reports and KPI dashboards to monitor performance by country, channel and product; recommend corrective actions and commercial levers.
  • Support pricing, promotional planning and margin optimisation through rigorous costing, scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and applicable IFRS/local GAAP requirements across EMEA operations.
  • Act as finance business partner to regional leaders: translate financials into actionable commercial insights and support business cases for investments.
  • Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls and participate in ERP/reporting projects to harmonise financial processes across markets.
  • Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives, M&A support and cross‑border tax or transfer‑pricing queries where required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or similar) preferred.
  • Proven track record (typically 5+ years) in controlling, FP&A or management accounting within a multinational environment, ideally in FMCG, beauty or luxury goods.
  • Strong command of IFRS and consolidation practices; experience with multi‑entity reporting and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into commercial insight and to influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Excellent analytical rigor, attention to detail and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Experience
