Puig is hiring a Process Optimization and Digital Transformation Technician in Alcalá de Henares to drive manufacturing excellence and Lean initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate continuous improvement actions aligned with plant production requirements and strategic objectives
- Monitor production KPIs and efficiency indicators, with periodic reporting to management on project status and performance metrics
- Implement and maintain the Puig Production System (PPS) across assigned operational areas
- Conduct plant-floor observations and diagnostic assessments to identify process improvement opportunities in production, logistics, quality, maintenance, laboratory, and automation
- Design and execute continuous improvement projects and standardization initiatives with active participation from cross-functional teams
- Develop process maps (VSM) and apply Lean methodologies including 5S, SMED, Kaizen, and Six Sigma in coordination with operational departments
- Collaborate on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and process sustainability programs
- Coordinate the execution and monitoring of improvement actions across departments, ensuring proper implementation and replicability
- Propose corrective actions based on data analysis and audit findings
- Train and guide operational teams in Lean tool adoption and new technologies
- Document operational procedures and standard processes to ensure consistent execution across all facility areas
- Provide technical support for new product industrialization and existing product reviews in coordination with Packaging, Production, and Quality departments
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial environments, preferably in cosmetics, fragrance, food production, or comparable sectors
- Demonstrated experience in project management, process improvement, production planning, or cross-departmental coordination
- Advanced knowledge of industrial processes, product traceability, and quality control systems
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SMED, and 5S methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking and results-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication, influence, and leadership capabilities
- Proactive, autonomous, and adaptable to changing operational requirements
- Professional demeanor with collaborative team orientation
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years in industrial environments with proven expertise in process improvement, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational project management. Experience within the cosmetics, fragrance, food production, or related manufacturing sectors is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with cross-departmental coordination and the ability to translate strategic objectives into operational improvement programs.
Education
University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Green Belt, Black Belt, or Lean Practitioner certification is desirable. A Master's degree in Industrial Organization is valued but not required.
