About Puig

Puig is a distinguished name in the luxury fashion and fragrance industry, renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence. As part of a global conglomerate, Puig offers a dynamic and inspiring work environment, fostering creativity and professional growth.

Puig’s Director of Wholesale Planning leads sell-in planning strategy across North America, integrating commercial, financial and supply plans across its brand portfolio and managing a team of planners. The permanent role reports to the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy & Planning and offers a base salary of $150,000–$170,000 annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated commercial planning process across the brand portfolio, consolidating stock and sales forecasts by brand, retailer and channel into a total-US view and incorporating input from commercial sales teams and planners to identify company-wide risks and opportunities.
  • Integrate planning for saleable and non-saleable goods—including testers, samples, gifts with purchase, collateral and event materials—with the saleable and financial plans; allocate by brand and retailer and track through KPIs.
  • Lead the annual sell-in budget process, partnering cross-functionally to ground plans in commercial realities, align them with corporate targets and communicate them across the organization.
  • Lead weekly and monthly reviews of brand and retailer estimates, analyzing historical data, sell-in versus sell-through trends and retail run rates to improve planning accuracy and maximize sales.
  • Track portfolio-wide progress against monthly estimates in real time, identify projected shortfalls against internal financial targets and work with sales teams on gap-closing initiatives.
  • Monitor retailer inventory health across brands, including stock coverage, weeks of supply, receipts versus plan and sell-through; share data-driven analysis with commercial teams to capture demand and avoid excess stock, returns exposure and out-of-stocks.
  • Serve as the planning liaison to Demand and Supply Planning, feeding consolidated sell-in and retailer insights into the S&OP forecast; determine launch quantities, allocation and basics with Demand Planning and Sales to align commercial plans, inventory allocation and expected sell-through; set priorities when supply is constrained.
  • Define planning KPIs—including forecast accuracy, allocation versus plan, stock coverage and non-saleable spend versus budget—with the Data & Analytics team, using governed dashboards rather than manual reports.
  • Manage, mentor and develop a team of planners, elevating work from account-level analysis to portfolio decisions and fostering strategic thinking, creativity and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial planning, sales planning or demand planning in prestige beauty, fashion or a comparable consumer goods environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing planning processes across a multi-brand portfolio with multiple retail accounts, including consolidating plans into a total-business view.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and work with Finance on estimates, gross-to-net and variance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of retailer inventory metrics, including stock coverage, weeks of supply and sell-through, and experience partnering with demand and supply planning.
  • Proven record of leading and developing high-performing teams, including influencing teams outside direct management.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with supply chain, finance and commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in planning tools and systems; Power BI, SAP and retail analytics platforms are a plus.
