Puig is hiring a permanent Accounts Receivable Executive in Barcelona to manage customer payments across B2B and DTC channels, reconcile accounts, handle invoices and payment operations, and deliver account and month-end reporting. The role also includes export documentation, process automation and cross-functional project support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process customer payments received through B2B and DTC channels, including Wholesale, Ecommerce, Retail and Spas.
- Post payments received by transfer, cash, check and credit card.
- Reconcile payments against corresponding open items and classify payment documents by type.
- Run weekly direct debit payments and execute weekly payment proposals for customer rebates and credit notes.
- Perform netting between subsidiaries or accounts payable/accounts receivable, and handle factoring.
- Analyze and investigate discrepancies or issues related to customer payments and accounts.
- Check and release blocked invoices; issue special invoices or credit notes for services on demand.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Treasury, Accounting, Global Payments and Retail Operations to resolve incidents.
- Provide reports on account status, payment activity and account balances; report month-end aging and DSO.
- Prepare export documentation as a rotating task.
- Develop macros or work with the Robotics team to automate manual, non-value-adding tasks.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, assist with special projects and management-assigned tasks, and maintain a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Keep up to date with accounts receivable changes and best practices.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year in a similar position.
- Degree in Business Administration or a similar field.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of OTC processes.
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency.
- Macros are an advantage but are not mandatory.
