Role & Responsibilities
- Post and reconcile customer payments from all channels (transfers, cash, checks, credit cards) against open items
- Classify payment documents by type and maintain accurate account records
- Execute weekly direct debit payments and payment proposals for rebates and credit notes
- Perform netting transactions between subsidiaries and AP/AR accounts
- Analyze and investigate discrepancies or issues related to customer payments
- Collaborate with front office, treasury, accounting, global payments, and retail operations teams to resolve payment incidents
- Generate reports on account status, payment activity, and account balances
- Conduct month-end closing and prepare aging and DSO reporting
- Process special invoicing and credit notes on demand
- Prepare export documentation and reconcile outlets and bank statements as required
- Develop macros and automate manual, non-value-added tasks to improve efficiency
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies, procedures, and accounts receivable best practices
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar accounts receivable or billing role
- Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes
- Knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year in a similar accounts receivable or payment processing position, with exposure to multi-channel payment environments (wholesales, e-commerce, retail).
Education
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
