Puig in Barcelona seeks an Accounts Receivable Executive to manage invoicing, collections and AR processes for the finance team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes including invoice issuance, cash application and unapplied cash resolution.
- Drive collections activity to reduce DSO, including structured outreach, dispute management and escalation to credit management where necessary.
- Perform AR reconciliations, maintain the ageing ledger and prepare regular status reports and KPIs for finance leadership.
- Investigate and resolve customer billing queries and disputes in collaboration with sales, customer service and order-to-cash stakeholders.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close by providing AR schedules, reconciliations and variance explanations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and external audit requirements; support external and internal audits related to receivables.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to ERP optimisation projects affecting the order-to-cash cycle.
- Liaise with credit insurance or factoring partners when applicable and assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Professional accreditation or progress towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capability with meticulous attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and to work to strict month-end deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2–4 years of hands-on accounts receivable or order-to-cash experience, ideally within consumer goods, cosmetics or other fast-moving, international commercial environments. Demonstrable experience using ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and contributing to month-end close is expected.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
