Printemps is recruiting an SAP S/4HANA Technical Lead for its SAP Competence Centre, supporting the post-conversion stability, quality and evolution of its SAP platform. The role governs development standards, quality, performance, security, integration and Level 3 support, while guiding modernisation and mentoring internal teams. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the internal SAP technical lead and ensure the consistency and long-term sustainability of technical decisions.
- Maintain knowledge of the S/4HANA foundation, including its architecture, custom developments and interfaces.
- Define and enforce development standards and best practices for ABAP OO, CDS Views, OData services and S/4HANA.
- Challenge business requests to limit custom development and favour a return to SAP standard; reduce technical debt and validate technical designs.
- Establish code reviews, performance controls and S/4HANA compliance checks, including ATC and best practices.
- Ensure the solution is maintainable and robust.
- Provide technical support for complex incidents, analyse root causes (RCA) and implement lasting corrective actions.
- Act as the key interface between RUN operations and project teams.
- Technically supervise SAP interfaces with third-party systems and ensure the consistency of API, batch and real-time data flows.
- Contribute to integration architecture decisions.
- Recommend progressive modernisation, including Fiori and UX, the considered adoption of new SAP capabilities and the S/4 technical roadmap.
- Anticipate the impact of SAP upgrades and changes.
- Support external developers and technical-functional project managers.
- Structure and document knowledge and best practices, and mentor colleagues in the SAP Competence Centre.
Qualifications
- Excellent command of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented ABAP.
- Good knowledge of CDS Views, OData services, performance and optimisation.
- Understanding of post-conversion S/4HANA considerations.
- Fiori and SAP UX skills are appreciated.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP is appreciated; expert-level knowledge is not required.
- Knowledge of information systems integration architecture is appreciated.
- Natural technical leadership and the ability to challenge constructively.
- Long-term perspective and a strong sense of collective interest.
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
