Prada Milan seeks Senior Product Developer for Linea Rossa performance apparel. Lead technical innovation, manage development lifecycle, €60–90K annually.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Linea Rossa Apparel Design team to translate creative concepts into detailed technical specifications while ensuring product feasibility and manufacturing sustainability
  • Manage the entire product development process from prototype launch through final validation, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Lead development of high-performance technical garments with focus on innovative performance materials (waterproof, breathable, thermal, stretch) and advanced construction techniques
  • Liaise with pattern makers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners internationally to communicate technical specifications and manage product revisions
  • Lead garment fitting sessions and prototype reviews, implementing technical improvements to optimize performance, fit, and comfort
  • Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of technical data, Bills of Materials, material specifications, and product documentation within PLM systems
  • Support introduction of new materials, finishes, and technological solutions in collaboration with Design and CMG teams
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout development stages, ensuring effective communication and structured project execution
  • Collaborate with athletes and brand ambassadors in developing custom garments, translating technical feedback into high-performance solutions
  • Work with testing laboratories and external partners to plan, execute, and analyze product testing activities, implementing corrective actions as required
  • Ensure compliance with all technical, quality, regulatory, and performance requirements throughout the development process
  • Organize and maintain archives of prototypes, samples, and technical documentation to support future collection development

Qualifications

  • Degree in Fashion, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
  • Approximately 10–15 years of experience in high-performance sportswear and technical apparel product development
  • Strong proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven track record developing and implementing innovative technical solutions in apparel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional development projects
