Confidential luxury house — Milan — SAP Finance IT Lead. Lead SAP FI/CO and S/4HANA finance programmes for an international luxury house based in Milan.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration and delivery of SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions across implementation, upgrade or S/4HANA migration programmes.
- Define solution architecture for finance processes, ensuring alignment with global standards and local statutory requirements for the Italy region.
- Run functional discovery and design workshops with finance stakeholders; translate business requirements into system specifications and fit/gap analyses.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical developers (ABAP/UI5), integration specialists (PI/PO or Cloud Integration), data migration and testing teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Own system testing strategy (unit, integration, UAT) and lead cutover and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners, including scope, deliverables, timelines and quality assurance.
- Ensure data migration integrity for master and transactional finance data and supervise reconciliation processes between legacy systems and SAP.
- Implement governance, change-control and documentation standards for finance system changes and continuously improve processes to optimise controls and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven track record leading end-to-end SAP Finance implementations or S/4HANA migrations for large, multi-entity organisations.
- Deep functional expertise across SAP FI and CO sub-modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis).
- Demonstrable experience designing integrations between SAP Finance and surrounding systems (ERP modules, payroll, treasury, banking interfaces).
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at both executive and operational levels.
- Experience managing external implementation partners and multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience
Seven or more years of progressive experience in SAP finance roles, including multiple full lifecycle implementations or S/4HANA migrations and at least several years in a lead or senior consultant capacity managing cross-functional delivery teams. Experience in retail, luxury goods or multi‑legal-entity environments is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; master's degree or relevant SAP certification (S/4HANA Finance) preferred.
