Confidential luxury knitwear house in Torgiano, Italy seeks a Knitwear Linking and Assembly Operator (Addetto/a Rimaglio e Confezione Maglieria).
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate linking (rimaglio) machines and industrial sewing equipment to assemble knitwear components to technical specifications.
- Perform overlocking, coverstitch, and hand-finishing operations to ensure clean seams and garment integrity.
- Interpret technical packs, production markers and quality checklists; execute operations to meet tolerances and fit requirements.
- Carry out in-line quality inspections and final checks; identify and rectify defects or report non-conformities to line supervisor.
- Adjust and maintain machines for consistent stitch quality; perform basic troubleshooting and cleaning of equipment.
- Record production output and report on yields, rework and scrap in accordance with workshop procedures.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, quality and production planners to optimise assembly sequences and delivery timings.
Qualifications
- Proven practical experience in knitwear linking, seaming or garment assembly in a production environment.
- Familiarity with flat linking machines, overlock (serger) and coverstitch operations; ability to work to technical specifications.
- High degree of manual dexterity, attention to detail and visual inspection skills.
- Ability to read basic technical packs and follow production markers; comfortable working to piece-rates and deadlines.
- Basic understanding of garment construction and quality-control standards; reliability and punctuality for production shifts.
Skills
Experience
Experience working on knitwear production lines with direct responsibility for linking/seaming and finishing operations. Prior exposure to industrial linking, overlock and coverstitch machinery and to-line quality control is expected.
Education
Vocational diploma in textiles, fashion technology or equivalent practical training; relevant apprenticeships or on-the-job experience accepted in lieu of formal qualifications.
