Confidential luxury house — IT Regional Warehouse Specialist in Milan, Italy. Responsible for WMS, RF devices, network support and regional rollouts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide second- and third-line IT support for regional warehouse operations, including WMS, RF devices, barcode systems, printers and label formats.
- Own day-to-day administration and incident management for WMS platforms (SAP EWM/ERP and/or Oracle/Manhattan), ensuring high availability and data integrity.
- Coordinate regional rollouts, upgrades and patching for warehouse systems and associated infrastructure, liaising with vendors and central IT teams.
- Deploy, configure and maintain warehouse hardware (handheld scanners, WLAN access points, printers, kiosks) and ensure firmware and drivers are current.
- Troubleshoot network, server and application faults in collaboration with network engineering and service providers; manage escalation and SLA adherence.
- Implement and maintain integration points between WMS, ERP and third-party logistics platforms; perform data reconciliations and root-cause analysis on exceptions.
- Deliver end-user training, produce technical documentation and runbooks, and support change management with warehouse operations stakeholders.
- Manage regional IT asset inventory, spare parts provisioning and vendor contracts to minimise operational disruption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience supporting warehouse or logistics IT systems with responsibility for production stability and incident resolution.
- Familiarity with enterprise WMS solutions (SAP EWM/ERP, Oracle WMS or Manhattan) and RF device ecosystems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional projects and external vendors.
- Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation; Microsoft or Cisco certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA) are advantageous.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT support within warehouse, distribution centre or logistics operations, including at least one full lifecycle WMS implementation or major rollout. Experience managing regional projects, vendor relationships and cross-site deployments is required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Logistics Management or equivalent professional experience.
