Confidential employer — Terranuova Bracciolini: Industrial Controller Intern. Internship in finance & controlling supporting manufacturing cost control and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support monthly closing activities for the manufacturing site, including data collection, posting checks and reconciliations.
- Prepare production cost analyses and month‑to‑date/year‑to‑date variance reports versus standards and budgets.
- Develop and maintain cost models and product-level margins; update standard costs and BOM-related inputs as required.
- Produce KPI dashboards and regular reporting for plant management and central finance (efficiency, scrap, yield, labour hours).
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and rolling forecasts for the industrial footprint; contribute to ad‑hoc financial projects.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality and logistics teams to validate cost drivers and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Document controlling procedures and support digitalisation or automation initiatives in reporting flows.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of managerial and cost accounting principles (standard costing, overhead allocation, variances).
- Strong analytical aptitude with an ability to structure large data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
- Highly numerate, organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communicator able to work across functions in a manufacturing environment and present findings clearly.
Skills
Experience
Prior internships or coursework in finance, controlling, cost accounting or within a manufacturing environment preferred; hands-on exposure to ERP systems and month‑end routines is an advantage.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
