Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute precise alterations and bespoke tailoring for ready‑to‑wear and made‑to‑measure garments, preserving brand standards and finish quality.
  • Conduct client consultations and fittings, record measurements, recommend technical adjustments and advise on fit and drape.
  • Perform hand and machine sewing, pattern adjustment, hemming, pressing and final finishing to luxury specifications.
  • Manage alteration workflow and turnaround times; prioritise urgent client requests and maintain accurate job records.
  • Collaborate closely with sales advisors, clienteling teams and external ateliers when required to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Maintain tools and workspace to haute couture cleanliness and organisation standards; control consumables inventory.
  • Perform quality control checks on completed work and liaise with clients to ensure satisfaction and appropriate follow‑up.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification in tailoring, garment technology or equivalent professional training, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in bespoke tailoring or high‑end alterations, ideally within a luxury fashion house or specialist atelier.
  • Advanced hand‑sewing and machine‑sewing proficiency, including experience with fine fabrics (silk, cashmere, leather).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to advise discerning clients discreetly and professionally.
