Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the collection workshop responsible for sample development, prototyping and industrialisation of men's lifestyle apparel.
- Coordinate daily operations of the sampling room, assign workloads, mentor technicians and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Translate design and technical briefs into fit-accurate prototypes and production-ready garments, supervising pattern-making, grading and construction.
- Ensure quality standards and workmanship across all samples; implement inspection protocols and corrective actions when required.
- Collaborate with design, technical design, production planning and sourcing teams to optimise materials, trims and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and tech packs to support seamless handover to production and external vendors.
- Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers; monitor lead times, costs and yield to support collection deadlines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workflow, efficiency and workmanship while safeguarding artisan techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role within a luxury menswear collection workshop or sample room.
- Deep technical knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, grading and fit for men’s lifestyle apparel.
- Demonstrable ability to manage sample-to-production industrialisation and to produce clear technical packs.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching multi-disciplinary teams of cutters, machinists and finishers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and familiarity with quality-control processes specific to high-end apparel.

Minimum 5+ years in garment development and sample room operations, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership capacity within luxury menswear or high-end ready-to-wear. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing handovers from design to production is essential.
