Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of new store and facility projects from initial planning to grand opening.
  • Establish and maintain CAPEX budgets and project timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Serve as the central communication hub between internal departments, external vendors, and landlords.
  • Ensure all constructions meet global brand standards and comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Provide regular bilingual progress reports to executive leadership, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in project management within retail expansion, hospitality, or commercial interior fit-outs.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluent/business-level English.
  • Proven track record of independently delivering projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese construction processes, permitting, and vendor landscape.
  • Experience in travel frequency and budget management.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar project management tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

Minimum 7–10 years in project management, specifically in retail expansion, hospitality, or commercial interior fit-outs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
