Prada Group seeks a Performance Apparel Pattern Maker in Montevarchi, Italy — RTW pattern maker for Prada Linea Rossa technical sportswear.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and set patterns for high‑performance apparel from technical sketches, producing foundational blocks and finished patterns by hand and using CAD/3D tools (PGS‑Investronica, CLO‑3D).
  • Translate stylistic concepts into ergonomic, movement‑driven garments that meet athlete physiology and sports usage requirements.
  • Work extensively on complex size charts, grading and technical fittings to guarantee fit, comfort and performance.
  • Identify and report technical and constructive issues during early prototyping and suggest corrective design or construction solutions.
  • Oversee the garment construction process, advising workshops on suitable techniques for technical garments (e.g., insulated outerwear, technical down fillings).
  • Collaborate closely with the Style and Product Development offices during fittings and defect‑analysis sessions, implementing required pattern modifications.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma with specialization in apparel/fashion patternmaking or equivalent vocational qualification.
  • 8–10 years' demonstrated experience as a pattern maker in technical/sports apparel, preferably within high‑performance brands (running, training, tennis, skiing, snowboard).
  • Complete autonomy in taking a model from sketch to finished pattern, both manually and via CAD/3D.
  • Advanced proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD systems for apparel; hands‑on experience with PGS‑Investronica and CLO‑3D highly preferred.
  • Fluent Italian and strong command of English.
  • Availability for frequent travel within Italy.
