Prada Group seeks a Pattern Making Intern in Fucecchio, Italy, to support leather apparel development across Prada and Miu Miu brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the pattern making team in the creation and modification of pattern pieces both manually and using CAD software, in accordance with direction from the Design Office and Product Development department
- Participate actively in defect analysis and fit testing sessions, learning model correction logic and methodologies
- Assist in the preparation, compilation, and updating of product technical specification sheets and associated documentation
- Liaise with the internal sample production laboratory to monitor assembly and construction phases of prototypes and sample garments
Qualifications
- Diploma in Pattern Making, Tailoring, or Fashion Design, preferably with specialisation in apparel construction
- Proficiency in apparel CAD software (Investronica, Lectra, Gerber, or equivalent)
- Foundational knowledge of leather merchandising and leather garment construction techniques
- Excellent technical drawing ability and precision in pattern work
Skills
Experience
Basic practical experience in pattern making or related apparel design studies is assumed; exposure to luxury garment manufacturing is advantageous.
Education
Diploma in Pattern Making, Tailoring, Fashion Design, or equivalent qualification; specialisation in apparel construction preferred.
Workplace
The role is situated in Fucecchio, Tuscany, Italy — conveniently close to Florence.
