Prada Group seeks a Lean Manufacturing Specialist in Terranuova Bracciolini, Italy to lead lean projects and improve manufacturing performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and deploy Lean Manufacturing initiatives across leather goods, footwear and ready‑to‑wear plants to drive continuous improvement of operational KPIs (efficiency, OTD, lead time, defect rates, waste reduction).
  • Design and optimise factory layouts at macro and micro levels to improve space utilisation, material flow and production flow.
  • Ensure production processes comply with established quality standards in close collaboration with plant and central quality functions.
  • Spearhead change management activities: measure performance, diagnose issues, implement corrective actions and ensure delivery of project targets.
  • Facilitate and participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects focused on waste elimination, ergonomic improvements and process robustness.
  • Provide operational work instructions and production line balancing guidance, including assembly sequences and critical control points.
  • Promote introduction of automation and process verticalisation, supporting transfer of currently outsourced operations into internal production where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ proven experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement or Process Engineering within manufacturing plants—preferably in fashion & luxury or related industries.
  • Demonstrable application of core Lean methodologies and participation in Kaizen activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and demonstrable experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with MES, ERP and PLM systems.
  • Good command of English.
  • Strong problem‑solving orientation, adaptability and readiness to travel domestically and internationally.
