Role & Responsibilities
- Drive the department team to exceed financial targets and maximize sales performance whilst supporting overall store success
- Lead by example on the sales floor to ensure the highest standard of client approach and service delivery
- Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing business plans through performance analysis and action plan proposals
- Foster cross-selling and upselling opportunities across product categories to drive basket size and transaction value
- Develop and maintain solid client relationships, executing the 'Brand Selling Ceremony' to guarantee excellent satisfaction and service
- Proactively identify and acquire new clients to drive department growth and expand the customer base
- Strengthen client loyalty by supporting clientelling initiatives and managing customer complaints with positive outcomes
- Act as a staff motivator, promoting team spirit through effective communication and cultivating a positive, energetic environment
- Train and inspire the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, client services, and company policies
- Identify talent within the team and propose candidates for internal development opportunities
- Master all company tools, applications, and digital systems to ensure the team remains informed of relevant updates
- Foster omnichannel awareness amongst the team and encourage the use of digital tools to strengthen client relationships and achieve business objectives
- Support e-commerce channel development by ensuring timely order responses and high service standards
- Ensure displays attract clients and maximize sales in accordance with company guidelines
- Maintain effective and efficient back-of-house organization, protecting company assets and ensuring staff grooming standards
- Support synergy between front and back-of-house operations
- Enforce company procedures on cash activity, inventory, logistics, and reporting activities
- Remain constantly updated on market trends and share insights with relevant functions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in department or team management within luxury retail environments
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance and achieve financial targets
- Strong leadership and motivation skills with ability to inspire and develop teams
- Excellent client service mindset and experience in luxury customer engagement
- Proficiency with retail management systems and digital tools
- Knowledge of omnichannel retail practices
- Experience in training and coaching retail staff
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail management, preferably within luxury fashion or lifestyle sectors. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building high-performing teams in a client-centric environment.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualifications in business, retail management, or hospitality preferred.
