Prada seeks a Department Manager in Singapore to lead sales team, drive financial targets, manage client relationships, and embody brand excellence across all retail operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive the department team to exceed financial targets and maximize sales performance whilst contributing to overall store success
  • Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing business plans through analysis of departmental performance and action plan proposals
  • Lead the department team to exceed KPI targets and foster cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across product categories
  • Maintain consistent presence on the sales floor, ensuring the highest standard of client approach and service delivery
  • Champion omni-channel awareness and encourage digital tool adoption to strengthen client relationships and achieve business objectives
  • Actively support e-commerce channel development through timely order response and consistently high service standards
  • Remain current with market trends, particularly within the managed department, and communicate insights to relevant functions
  • Ensure product displays attract clients and maximize sales in accordance with company visual merchandising guidelines
  • Foster a client-centric mindset by developing and maintaining strong client relationships and delivering exceptional after-sales experiences
  • Execute the brand selling ceremony to guarantee client satisfaction and consistently high service levels
  • Proactively identify opportunities to acquire new clients and expand departmental sales
  • Support the department team in executing clienteling initiatives to strengthen client loyalty
  • Manage customer complaints proactively to maintain positive client relationships and outcomes
  • Act as a strong staff motivator, fostering team spirit through effective communication and cultivating a positive, energetic work environment
  • Facilitate information exchange within the team and proactively lead morning briefings on relevant topics
  • Demonstrate mastery of all company tools and IT applications, ensuring the team remains current with updates
  • Train and inspire the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, client service, and company policies and procedures
  • Identify talent within the team and propose candidates for internal development opportunities in collaboration with the Store Manager
  • Provide coaching and follow-ups on individual action plans to guarantee team development
  • Actively support the Store Manager in market research initiatives
  • Promote synergy and cooperation between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Lead by example to ensure the team operates with the highest level of care and respect for products in all procedures
  • Support enforcement of company procedures related to cash handling, inventory management, logistics, and reporting activities
  • Contribute to effective and efficient stewardship of company assets
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on departmental needs to the Store Manager and relevant support departments
  • Ensure effective and efficient back-of-house organization while maintaining responsibility for asset protection and staff grooming standards
  • Proactively implement company policies and procedures while managing all operational activities related to the department

Experience

Business, retail management degree or equivalent qualification is preferred; however, extensive demonstrable retail management experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
