Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of a defined merchandise department within a flagship or boutique store, ensuring consistent delivery of brand standards.
  • Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed department KPIs through frontline coaching, proactive client engagement and targeted activity.
  • Recruit, develop and mentor department staff; deliver structured feedback, training and performance reviews to build a high-performing team.
  • Manage stock flow and replenishment, conduct regular inventory controls and collaborate with logistics to minimise stock discrepancies.
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and ensure presentation standards are maintained to reflect merchandising strategies and seasonal campaigns.
  • Prepare and analyse sales reports, forecast demand and translate commercial insight into actionable plans.
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll oversight and ensure compliance with company policies, loss-prevention procedures and local regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Store Manager, regional leadership and cross-functional teams (merchandising, clienteling, events) to maximise customer experience and brand penetration.

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in luxury or premium retail, with demonstrable results in sales leadership and team development.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing KPIs, forecasting and stock control.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and resolve escalated client matters.
  • Fluent spoken and written communication skills appropriate for the market in which the store operates (local language and English advantageous).
  • High level of professionalism, discretion and alignment with luxury brand standards.

Experience
